As someone who is a small time stream that started about 2 months ago. I can agree with everything here. I have seen the growth happen slowly, but offstream I would look at the views and feel like I was not doing great (My big mistake was looking at view count when raiding a friend or something and thinking "Oh god, this is such a pitiful number"). But I turned that mindset around because even with the smaller count, there are people watching me. In the beginning it was hard for me to network because I felt like I was intruding. I slowly realised that all the creators that I am friends with are in the same boat as me. I reached out to a fellow creator to talk about it, and they were awesome in helping me see some mistakes I was doing early on.

I went pretty inexpensive on my setup. Wave 1, 920c, $20 mic arm. Tho I did get 2 used stream decks, one for sounds and one for utility

Beyerdynamic M70 Pro is a criminally underrated XLR mic. It's $70 now (MSRP used to be $350) and easily beats +$400 mics like the SM7B.

i agree with you on the stream deck. if you aren't gonna use it, don't buy it. i use it all the time so its worth the money, but i know a friend that bought it and put it in a drawer and forgot he had it.

i'm glad i live in the US where these things are crazy expensive like they are in australia. you guys get boned when it comes to electronics prices.

Streaming over 10 years, but I'm definitely lazy and not doing all of these! I don't think panels are as important now, but maybe I need to reconsider improving/ readding those. Some things I just haven't revisited in a while and this was a good reminder. 22/32

Hey! This video was really helpful, thanks so much! However, I do have a question. At 9:42, when you were explaining the markdowns and the indentations with the purple lines, do you know if there is any way to change the color of those lines? My aesthetic is mainly comprised of pinks (specifically corals, salmons, etc) and white, so if I had the option to change the lines they'd fit in better with my aesthetic. Or what would also work is simply making the text smaller (which is why I used the indentations in the first place). As of right now, all my text is insanely massive even without the hashtags and everything. How would I make it smaller? Also sorry if I sound dumb asking these questions. I'm a very visual learner, so examples and visual demonstrations (such as the one you used in the video when you were applying the techniques as you explained them) helps a LOT!

I have the AT2020 and I love that thing. Just added a noise suppressor filter in OBS and I was good to go!

Hi, so I am having issues with my microphone in Sonar. I have watched a video of yours that a mate of mine sent me and I've done a good job as far as setting everything up when it comes to audio coming into my headphones. The issue I am having though is in regard to my microphone. I am using the MAONO USB condenser mic (purchased from Amazon), have been using it for about eight months with no problems when I'm in Discord, Steam, etc. OBS would pick the audio going in without worry. Upon setting Sonar up, I have noticed all audio outlets for media, chat, gaming are within the ranges they need, however, when I am talking into my mic, the mixer in Sonar will move just a tiny bit, but not enough to actually pick up any audio off of me if I've got background noise going on (music, discord conversations, or game audio). On Sonar, my mixer settings are: - Personal Mix set to my headphones. - Stream Mix set to the SteelSeries Sonar - And My mic input is set to my MAONO USB condenser mic. All volumes set to 100%, and it still barely detects me. I've tried with both my mic being where I like it positioned and two inches from my mouth, and whilst being in front of my mouth, more sound picks up, it is not enough to make any sort of difference. In OBS I can see my mic audio going to at least 25 dB, I'm not sure if it has hit yellow though. Nvidia Broadcast's noise removal does wonders for hiding background noise, like my furnace kicking in all winter or me shivering if the furnace was off.

I've been using the ATR 2100x for years now. Best budget mic i've ever used and does what it needs. never have an issue from any of my chatters. highly recommended

now one question because I can't quite get some information about it. I'm a musician aswell and I would love to stream my process of learning new songs on guitar, playing along to them etc. do you know if that is possible? I'm from germany aswell, so.. even harsher rules.. haha.

The GoXLR is not dead. TC Gaming literally released a Beta App update yesterday (Apr. 24), and they are moving towards the next major SW release. The BridgeCast is a nice piece of kit and if I needed something new, it'd be in my list to consider for sure. But the assertion that the GoXLR is a dead and you should immediately ditch it and run out and buy a new piece of gear is a load of male bovine excrement.

ive been streaming for 4 years i am affiliate and stream often yet anytime i stream i for almost all of my stream get 0 viewers watching me no chat interactions no nothing i have no idea what im doing wrong. im a variety streamer and dont just play one game
